Fall, 2015

Dear friends,

We thank the Lord again for another wonderful summer. The Lord kept us safe as we travelled to many places and put many miles on our car. As we did, we reconnected with many old friends and made many new friends along the way. The family is doing well and all the kids are now being home-schooled which really fills Cindy’s schedule. Wow! – I never thought we would be doing all this and everything else that is on our plate. We sure do appreciate your prayers for us in the Lord.

In July, we headed to Greenwood Hills in Pa where we usually go each year at the end of this month. It is a nice week for us as a family as Cindy and I were able to take some time off and be fed from the Word. This year we enjoyed ministry from brother Randy Amos who ministered during the week on “The Tabernacle”, using a large model. This was of special interest to me since I had spoken on this topic on a least three different occasions during the past year. Randy surprised me later in the week when he invited me to take one of his meetings and share some insights that I had on the subject. It was a very gracious gesture on his part.

In August, we headed back up to Canada to Galilee Bible Camp at their family camp where I shared a week of ministry with Jim Comte, a good friend of many years. It was well-attended and we all had a wonderful time meeting with the believers there. I spoke on the “Forty day experiences” of the Bible, a very interesting topic with many practical lessons. I had been thinking about this for a while and looked forward to giving the series.

September started out with a flurry and never subsided – a weekend conference on Labor Day Weekend to start off with, an America’s Keswick Families for Christ weekend series a few days later, our annual Bible Conference by the Bay at Harvey Cedars in NJ, and a Shepherding (elders) Conference at Greenwood Hills the week after. Also during the month, we started our seniors Bible study in the Crestwood Manor in Whiting, now in its 17th year. We will be resuming the Book of James, in a verse by verse study of this very practical book.

October and November will be occupied with a number of conferences and events including meetings at Greenwood Hills (again) for prophecy conference and in Canada for conference that deals with the topic of deacons. As always, we appreciate your prayer for us as we seek to faithfully serve the Lord.

Yours in Christ,

Mark and Cindy Kolchin – Phil. 1:6
